Reset your password

If you've forgotten your password, or you just want to change it, you can do it yourself in a couple of minutes. The process is different depending on whether you signed up with email or with Google.

I forgot my password (email accounts)

1. On the login page, click Forgot password.
2. Enter the email address you signed up with and submit.
3. Check your inbox for the reset email — it usually arrives within a minute. Check spam if you don't see it.
4. Click the link in the email and choose a new password. The link expires after a few hours, so don't wait too long.
5. Log in with your new password.

I want to change my password (I know the current one)

1. Click your avatar in the portal's top-right corner and choose Personal settings.
2. Find the password section, enter your current password and your new one, then save.

I signed up with Google

Google accounts don't have a Maddie's Lab password at all — you log in with the Google button, and Google handles authentication. If you want a password login instead, use "Forgot password" with your Google email address to set one. After that you can log in either way.

Good to know

• Reset links are single-use and expire after a few hours. If yours expired, just request a fresh one.
• If no reset email arrives after 10 minutes, check spam, then verify you're using the exact email you signed up with — a typo'd signup email is the most common cause.
• Use a password manager if you can. A unique 12+ character password beats a clever 8-character one every time.
• We never ask for your password by email. Any email asking for it isn't from us.
• After a successful reset, all existing sessions stay logged in — you don't need to re-login on other devices unless you want to.
