Delete your account

You can delete your account at any time. Deletion is permanent: your files, processing history, quota, and billing records are removed and can't be recovered. Read this first so there are no surprises.

Before you delete

Download anything you need — processed files aren't stored long-term for re-download, but grab your billing invoices from the Billing section first if you need them for taxes. If you're on a paid plan, cancel the subscription first (deleting the account also ends billing, but canceling first gives you a cleaner invoice trail). If you're leaving because something isn't working, consider sending us a report first — we'd genuinely like to fix it.

How to delete your account

  1. Send a report through the report-a-problem form on the help center with the subject "Delete my account."
  2. Use the email address on the account so we can verify it's yours.
  3. We'll reply to confirm, then permanently delete the account and everything in it.

We confirm by email before deleting so nobody can delete your account by submitting the form with your address — the confirmation has to come from you.

What gets deleted

Your profile, login credentials, quota and usage history, and billing records. Any paid subscription is canceled and no further charges occur. Anonymized, aggregate statistics (like "how many receipts were processed in October") contain no personal data and may remain.

Good to know

  • Deletion is permanent. We can't restore an account once it's gone.
  • If you signed up with Google, deleting your Maddie's Lab account doesn't affect your Google account in any way.
  • Changed your mind within a few days? Contact us quickly — once the deletion batch runs, it's final.
  • Deleting your account because of a bug or a bad experience? Tell us what happened in the same message. We read every one.
