I've used all my documents
"You've used all your documents" means your monthly quota hit zero. It's not an error and nothing is broken — here's what it means and your options.
Why you're seeing this
Each file you process counts as one document against your monthly allowance: 10 on Free, 500 on Pro, 2,500 on Growth. (Pay as you go has no quota — it's billed per document instead.) The counter resets to your full allowance on the 1st of every month, and unused documents don't roll over.
Your options right now
- Wait for the reset. On the 1st, your quota refills automatically. If it's only a few days away and the work can wait, this costs nothing.
- Upgrade for instant quota. Moving to Pro or Growth (or from Pro to Growth) refills your allowance immediately — you don't wait for the 1st. This is the fix when a deadline can't wait.
- Switch to pay as you go. If overages are occasional rather than constant, $0.03 per document with no monthly fee may be cheaper than a bigger subscription.
Make your quota go further
Batch where you can: merging several PDFs is one job, not one per file. Don't reprocess the same file to "try again" — reprocessing a clean file gives the same result and costs another document; fix the input image first. And remember that failed jobs never consume quota, so only successful runs count against you.
Good to know
- The usage meter in the portal header shows exactly where you stand: "Documents 10 / 10" means you're at the cap.
- If you hit the cap in the first week two months running, your plan is too small — Pro costs less than 334 pay-as-you-go documents.
- Upgrading mid-cycle is prorated; you only pay for the remainder of the period.
- Annual Pro/Growth plans include the same monthly quotas — annual billing only changes the price, not the allowance.
- Think the counter is wrong? Compare it with your recent jobs. Every completed job adds exactly one — if the math doesn't work, send us a report.
