QR Code Generator
QR Code Generator makes QR codes from any text or link — and can also scan QR codes back out of images you upload. One tool for both directions.
When to use it
Creating QR codes for: your Wi-Fi password (guests scan instead of typing), a link to your website on a business card or flyer, a menu URL on a table tent, payment links, event check-ins, or app download pages. The scanner side reads QR codes from screenshots and photos when you can't scan with your phone camera.
How to use it
- Open QR Code Generator.
- To create: paste your URL or type your text, then download the QR code PNG.
- To scan: upload an image containing a QR code, and the tool reads out what it contains.
- Each generated or scanned code = one document of quota.
What the output looks like
A standard black-and-white QR code PNG, downloadable and print-ready. Scanning it with any phone camera opens the link or shows the text.
Good to know
- Short URLs scan more reliably than very long ones — dense QR codes are harder for cameras to read. Use a link shortener for long addresses.
- Test-scan every QR code with your own phone before printing hundreds of flyers.
- Print QR codes at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) square. Tiny QR codes on business cards often fail.
- Wi-Fi QR codes use a special format — the tool encodes it so guests join the network without typing the password.
- Never scan QR codes from untrusted sources blindly — preview the URL first. Malicious QR codes can lead to phishing sites.
