Invoice to CSV
Invoice to CSV reads supplier invoices and bills — the kind with line items, quantities, unit prices, tax lines, and payment terms — and converts them into a clean CSV. It's built for accounts-payable busywork: turning a stack of vendor invoices into data you can import.
When to use it
Use it when invoices arrive as photos, scans, or PDFs and you need the data in a spreadsheet or accounting import. Typical users: office managers entering vendor bills, freelancers tracking subcontractor invoices, landlords logging contractor work. It handles standard commercial invoices with tables; it is not designed for contracts or multi-page legal documents.
How to use it
- Open Invoice to CSV and upload the invoice (photo or PDF, including multi-page PDFs).
- The tool extracts the supplier name, invoice number, dates, line items, tax, totals, and payment terms.
- Review the extracted fields on screen — confirm the invoice number and total especially.
- Download the CSV. One invoice = one document of quota.
What the output looks like
Line items become rows with description, quantity, unit price, and line total. Invoice-level data — supplier, invoice number, issue date, due date, subtotal, tax, total, and payment terms — travels in header columns so nothing is lost. The format imports cleanly into Excel, Google Sheets, and most accounting tools' CSV importers.
Good to know
- Invoices with clear ruled tables extract far better than freeform layouts. If columns merge in the output, the original table probably had no visible gridlines.
- Multi-page invoices are read as one job, but verify the totals — a totals box on the last page is occasionally missed if it's far from the line items.
- Foreign currencies are captured as printed; the tool doesn't convert amounts.
- Handwritten notes or stamps on the invoice (like "PAID") are usually ignored — add those in your spreadsheet.
- For recurring suppliers, compare a new extraction against a previous one. Consistent layouts extract consistently.
